A Gentle and Low-Pressure Cleaning Solution

What to Expect From Our House Soft Washing

House soft washing is a popular cleaning method used to remove dirt, grime, and other contaminants from the exterior surfaces of your home. Unlike power washing, which uses high-pressure water to blast away dirt and debris, soft washing is a gentler and more effective cleaning solution that uses a low-pressure water stream combined with special cleaning agents to remove dirt and stains without damaging your home’s siding. Soft washing is a great solution for Columbus and Cleveland homes, particularly in addressing delicate surfaces, which can be more susceptible to mold, mildew, and algae. The Pristine house soft washing process involves the following steps:

1. Pre-Arrival Communication

Before our technicians arrive, we contact the homeowner and let them know our estimated window for arrival. If there are changes to the schedule, or a technician gets held up, they will always call or text to make sure you know.

2. Introduction and Explanation of House Washing Service

Before we get started, our team gets to know the homeowner and goes over the services being performed—in this case, a home soft wash. It’s vital that our technicians explain how our service works and make themselves available for any questions or concerns. We find that the job always goes smoother when the homeowner has a proper expectation of what is going to be done and what is not.

3. Pre-Service Inspection

Before beginning the soft washing process on the siding, the technician will inspect the exterior surface of the house to identify any areas that require special attention or cleaning. They look for stains that may not come off like shotgun mold and oxidation, but also things that will like dirt, algae, and bacteria growth. Technicians will identify and take pictures of concerning areas of the home that may be damaged, and those areas are pointed out to the homeowner.

4. House Washing Service Preparation

The technician will then prepare the work area by pre-rinsing nearby plants and landscaping to protect them from any cleaning solutions that may drip or splash during the cleaning process. We do not use tarps to cover plants as they tend to burn plants badly.

5. Cleaning Solution

The technician will mix a cleaning solution that is specifically designed for the type of house siding being cleaned. The solution typically contains a combination of water, bleach, and other cleaning agents that are safe for the surface being cleaned.

6. Application of Cleaning Solution

The cleaning solution is then applied to the exterior surfaces of the house using a low-pressure sprayer from the bottom up. The solution is allowed to dwell on the siding for several minutes to allow the cleaning agents to penetrate and break down dirt, grime, and algae.

7. Top to Bottom Rinse

After the cleaning solution has had time to work, the technician will rinse the exterior surfaces of the house using a low-pressure water stream. This helps to remove any remaining dirt and grime, as well as the cleaning solution.

8. Surface Protection Application

This is our famous third step: Once the home is thoroughly washed and rinsed, we apply surface protection on the siding. This application will make the home look cleaner and will help it to stay cleaner longer. This third step really sets us apart because washing the home is important, but protecting it is vital.

9. Final Inspection

9. Final Inspection

Once the soft washing process is complete, the technician will notify the homeowner, bring them outside, and go over the service. They perform a final inspection to ensure that all areas have been thoroughly cleaned and no issues arose during the cleaning process. If the homeowner is not available onsite, our technicians call and go over the service.

Overall, soft washing for your siding is safe and effective, and a great way to clean the house without causing any damage. It is important that a professional technician, who has experience with this cleaning method, performs the service. This ensures that the job is done properly and safely.
