What Type of Surface Cleaner is Used?

January 4, 2024

The question is asked a lot. What type of surface cleaner do you use to wash concrete driveways? Our walk-behind surface cleaners work well. They get a lot of comments from homeowners too. These versatile tools clean various surfaces, including concrete driveways, patios, and brick pavers. Here’s how our concrete surface washer’s work:

Water Source:

A pressure washer typically connects to a water source, such as a garden hose. Our trucks are equipped with 300-gallon slack tanks, but they are just that, to pick up the slack. We still need to connect your home water to our slack tank mainly because our machines pull upwards of eight gallons per minute. That’s far more water volume than what comes out of a water hose.

Power Washer:

The pressure washer used for surface washing is located in our Pristine Clean trucks. The units are powerful, high-water volume machines. Water passes through the machine at a psi range of 3200-4200. This amount of pressure is job-specific.

The Unit:

Our walk-behind, surface washers roll on multidirectional wheels, so the unit is easy to maneuver. Further, the units feature containment bristles on the side, to keep debris from spraying all over. The twin nozzles spin inside the deck of the washer at high speeds to make for more of a consistent clean. Washing your concrete with a nozzle is good to rinse it off, but the units we have clean much deeper than a gun alone. Our techs rotate and oscillate the unit to make for an even more consistent clean.
